(Translator: ********) On May 11th , Dr. Xie Juan Juan, the professor and the doctoral tutor from the College of Economic, was invited by the College of Chinese Language and Culture (CCLC) to given an academic lecture about the “Globalization of Economies and Trade War Between China and the United States” at room 101. There were in total 30 international students who are interested in this topic came to this lecture. These students come from different majors that include the undergraduates of CCLC from 2015 and the undergraduates of international business Chinese major from 2017.
Dr. Xie Juan Juan analyzed the source of trade war between China and the U.S. mainly from two angles: Pure business point of view and trade point of view. The lecture started with the professor explaining the inner meaning of the globalization of economies, the formation of regional economies and the relationship between them. By using simple words and clear evidences plus data, Dr. Xie Juan Juan were able to elaborate on the stages of trade development between China and the United States, and she also pointed out the reason behind the imbalance of Sino-US trade. Furthermore, Dr. Xie Juan Juan also talked about the form and focus of Sino-US trade conflict and its future.
At the end of lecture, students and the professor had many activities. Dr. Xie Juan Juan answered many questions from students with patient and clear explanation. She went further to enhance students’ understanding on the topic by interpret the varies changes of modern global structure and the strategy using by China and the United States.
This academic lecture was the first lecture of the series for our international business Chinese major. The purpose of this lecture was to let students gain better understanding on how does international business and international trade works. Our students can constantly enhance their professionalism and their overall quality by knowing the trends and the knowledge. The lecture also aroused students' interest and enthusiasm for the study of international business and economic courses. It also has a guiding significance for their future study.
