According to CNR(Tianjin)on November.2th, the 19th CPC National Congress recently has concluded successfully in Beijing. This big event has also attracted the attention of foreign students in China. On November 1st, over 20 foreign students in CCLC, Nankai University who come from Russia, Romania, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Serbia, Armenia, Italy, South Korea, Thailand and three other countries talked with Chinese teachers and students about the changes of China in the past 5 years.
Mr. Wang Lixin, the dean of CCLC in Nankai university, said that CCLC had conveyed the interpretation of the "spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress" through Wechat, website and electronic screen. Liu Zhengxi, a foreign student from Egypt, said in a forum, “I have read a lot of news about “The Belt and Road” and “The 19th CPC National Congress” on Wechat or Weibo. I love China, and I am happy to see that China is becoming a better, bigger and stronger country.”
Hui Lan, from Romania, has stayed in China for 3 years. She has learned the basics about the 19th CPC National Congress through TV broadcast. She told the reporter, “The relevant reports about this congress also can be reached in Romania. It surprises me when my parents tell me that they have seen the news in Romania. The 19th CPC National Congress has expressed what china will do in next 5 years. I haven’t expected that this congress has caused such an high international attention.”
A Chinese undergraduate student of CCLC, Qu Qianwen introduced that President Xi stressed many time in the reports about how to construct “The Belt and Road”, to proceed major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, to adhere to the path of peaceful development and diplomacy and to build a community of common destiny for all mankind. Her speech has aroused everyone’s strong resonance.
“President Xi has established cooperation with us when he visited Serbia to help us develop economy. I strongly support “The Belt and Road””, said Molly, a Serbian student, “I think China has a strong sense of responsibility, especially when I heard President Xi said that the destiny of this world was handled by people from all the countries, and that China would like to work with all the countries to build a community of common destiny and to create a bright future for all mankind as well. Although Serbia is small, our heart is as big as China’s. we are passionate and friendly, and we also love peace.”
Liu Zhengxi agreed with Molly, “what attract me most is also “The Belt and Road”. This policy has deepen the friendship between China and Egypt, which also help the development of Egypt”. Though Mr. Liu just stayed in China for only 1 month, his Chinese was fluent enough. Hui Lan and Molly wanted to be the envoys of cultural exchanges to help to deepen the friendship with their own countries. Tina, from Kazakhstan, said “I haven’t gone back to Kazakhstan for almost two years, I wanna live in China after I graduate.”
"Love Chinese! Love Nankai!" After the activity, everyone has a thump up for China and for Nankai. Xing Lifang, the secretary of the party committee, encouraged students to learn the skills well and improve themselves in order to contribute to international peace and national development in the future.
From theCReform and Opening up to now, Chinese is walking toward the center of the world stage, attracting more and more people coming to China. By the end of last year, the total number of overseas students in China has exceeded 440 thousand , and the number of countries and regions of overseas students has reached 205. CCLC is a professional college to receive foreign students. The number of overseas students received by CCLC is increasing year by year, especially when the policy of “The Belt and Road” is recognized by more countries.

Foreign students are important media for their countries to learn about China. CCLC will push the teaching level and quality to a higher degree and introduce the textbook featuring with Nankai characteristics.
